Middle Ear Assessment
Diagnostic Tympanometry/Acoustic Immitance Testing
This test is used to assess the status of the middle ear by measuring the movement of the eardrum. Acoustic Reflex
Threshold and Decay Testing
Acoustic reflex is an involuntary action that occurs in the middle ear. Typically, the reflex only occurs with high intensity sounds. If it activated because of quieter sounds, it may be an indication of something more serious, such as dysfunction of the ear, neural hearing loss, or a decay of the acoustic reflexes.
Middle Ear Resonance Measurement
This is used to detect Otosclerosis, when other measures have been unsuccessful.
