Hearing Tests
We offer hearing tests in Commerce, New Baltimore, and Novi, MI, for adults of all ages. The purpose of the hearing test is so we can learn more about your hearing loss through an evaluation of your ears and hearing. Some common diagnostic hearing tests include a tone test, tympanometry test (evaluating fluid buildup in the ear), and speech testing (determining how well you understand the words you hear). We will explain everything to ensure you are comfortable during your appointment.
Industrial Hearing Screening
If your workplace requires you to have your hearing tested regularly, we are able to quickly and efficiently complete screenings that follow the standards set by OSHA. Individuals who work in noisy environments, such as factories, construction sites, or airports, have an increased risk of developing noise-induced hearing loss. Our audiologist provides industrial hearing screenings to help keep workers hearing safe.
Hearing Aid Evaluations
After your hearing test, we will discuss some hearing aid options that we believe would help you. Determining what kind of hearing aid will help you is based on your type of hearing loss, the severity, and your lifestyle. We will work with you to find a device that will provide you with better hearing.
Hearing Aid Fitting
Once you’ve decided which hearing aid to move forward with, our hearing specialist will expertly program and fit your devices to your unique needs. This will ensure they sit comfortably in your ears and provide you with optimal sound quality based on the results of your hearing test.
Hearing Aid Repairs
Our extensive experience with hearing aids has given us the skill to offer some hearing aid repairs in-office. This allows us to save patients time and money because we can often avoid sending hearing aids back to the manufacturer for repairs.
Earwax (Cerumen) Removal
Earwax, medically known as cerumen, can be responsible for discomfort, clogged ears, and hearing loss. Clearing earwax from your ear canal can improve your hearing. Earwax can also build-up in your hearing aids, so it’s important to keep both your ears and devices clean.

Tinnitus Treatment
Tinnitus is the term used to describe the condition of hearing a ringing, buzzing, humming, or whooshing sound in the absence of an external sound. This is typically only experienced by the person with tinnitus and can last anywhere from a few seconds to days at a time. Some tinnitus is related to hearing loss and can be addressed with hearing aids. During your hearing exam we can perform a tinnitus test to determine the cause and severity of your tinnitus. We also offer sound therapy or another treatment option to help stop ringing in the ears.
Remote Hearing Care
If you are unable to come into our office or you feel more comfortable staying home, we also offer telehealth services such as online appointments. We can speak with you remotely about your hearing aids, make adjustments, talk you through a problem, or recommend new hearing aids, all from the comfort of your own home.
Custom Hearing Protection
Loud noise exposure is one of the most common causes of hearing loss, behind age. To prevent hearing impairment, it’s important to protect your hearing. Our team can take a mold of your ear and use it to make custom earplugs (perfect if you spend time hunting, at live music concerts, or on construction sites) or other custom devices such as cell phone headsets. We can also create musicians’ in-ear monitors.
